Hello family!! I hope this letter finds you all GREAT! I miss you all like CRAZY but I'm glad to be here! Here goes the happenings for the week :]
1. I tried to "Go Green" and recycle the water bottles... we went tot eh place and waited in line for an HOUR with 3 BIG garbage bags full, 1 baby box, and 3 grocery bags full. I'm thinking $10-15... No. I will now be giving my water bottles to all the homeless people I see. We got $6.51 Really?! Oh well. I tried!
2. I got to go see horses on Monday! It was WAY fun! Horses are huge and scary to me but still beautiful :] We went with a member and had fun meeting the different horses and such
3. So Mike and Rene... Sister Ence and I knocked into them New Years Eve and they CAME TO CHURCH!!! Oh man! I was SO excited!! But then they heard I was getting transferred and were like WHAT?! I felt SUPER bad but I will keep up with them with letters...
4. I got to go on exchanges!! With Sister Farnes and Foster up in La Canada. FUN!! Really rich area but for my birthday morning they had put a little Bday sign up and were making breakfast and had a huge cookie with candles singing to me when I got out of the shower which was only the beginning to my AWESOME Bday!
5. We went to art class and I drew a FACE! Whoa. It was hard. Cant lie hahahah But turned out good!
6. next we had an "appointment" That is all I knew from my companion.. to where... CALIFORNIA PIZZA KITCHEN!! I had said I wanted to go there for my Bday a while back and we went!! And with who? Well, you don't know any of them but 11 people from the ward!! I LOVED it! I had a balloon on my chair :] and a cake... SO FUN!!
7. Then we go home and I have all my mail! Three packages... Birthday/Easter... THANK YOU!!! It was truely an AMAZING birthday!
8. Sister Cetina made me a cake too... BEAUTIFUL! She is SO talented!! It had roses and designs... LOVED IT! And she made us a Cuba chicken and rice dish... YUM!
9. We got to teach YW on Sunday about the Priesthood... WHOA! I LOVE the priesthood!! What a blessing to be able to have it in my life through dad, brothers, and friends.
10. I got to have my last meal in Glendale with the Corrigans. Same people that i LOVE and got to have my first meal ever in Glendale with. They are so GREAT! And since we aren't supposed to eat with members... they called the mission office who talked to President Pike and got permission for us to come over!
11. I got TRANSFERRED! I will now be serving in the Carter Oaks Ward with Sister Robison. I'm nervous but SUPER stoked! Glendale has been home to me for 4 1/2 months... But this will be GREAT!! I LOVE being a missionary!!
12. Favorite scripture of the week... Moroni 7:45-46. Main part I LOVE is, "if you have not charity, ye are nothing..." Nothing. I don't want to be nothing. Though charity is hard sometimes it is ALWAYS needed. I know there are people I just have to love so I don't think about my "nothingness"
I LOVE YOU!!
Sister Arbogast
