Suns Out and I'm Getting a Tan = )

Hello!! This week was again very good! We have been working hard and it feels GREAT!

1. We had a tour with a member referral, Denise. She committed to baptism but then our next appointment fell through and so we sent up another one for this week.
2. We also had lessons with Joshua. He is really starting to mature and he shared an amazing experience he had this weekend at the visitors center with his dad. There one of the sisters that I actually went to college with gave him the tour and asked him to go into one of the rooms and pray about when to be baptized. Last night he told us he wants to be baptized next month, on the 15th. He said he is still praying about it for sure. it is great to be so blessed to watch these people grow and their countenance change. I LOVE IT!
3. Speaking of countenances changing, Seth. He has been praying for forgiveness for somethings in his past, it happened long ago we don't know how to help him with restitution. He has his baptismal interview Saturday to see if he can be baptized on Sunday! He has really changed and is willing to do what he needs to be baptized. It is amazing to see the difference in him just the way he acts and smiles with the gospel in his life.
4. For weekly planning which takes about 3 hours, my companion and I planned outside to try to get some color.... nothing really happened. next day, we go out and walk the streets to contact... I get red. What?! Oh well, it is now a tan :]
5. So I know that I have been known to talk in my sleep... but this past week apparently I told my companion, "Your hairs messed up." And she said, "You cant even see me" She then realized I was asleep :]
6. As soon as I tell you this I will have a bad one but so far we haven't had any bad meals with members! They have been super yummy!
7. At church yesterday I heard this quote, "We are a church of u-turns" We all make mistakes and we have to make a "u-turn" to get back to where we know we need to be. I thought it was a cute but true quote.
8. Favorite scripture this week... Jacob 1:7 and 9... I know that I want to do my best because I don't want the sins of California hanging over my head :] I love missionary work!!

Thank you for ALL you do!

LOVE YOU!!

Progressing Investigators! YAY!

Hello!!! Start of week two in my 5th Transfer! Still so crazy to me I have been out this long! Here are the past weeks happenings!

1. I got a new companion... Sister Eggleston. She grew up in Riverside County... California. She put her papers in from Provo though. She is a dog groomer, we laugh a TON! She is a hard worker and has some GREAT insights! She is also older than me. We are the oldest sisters in the mission.
2. I made BANK in mail this week... THANK YOU!! It makes me feel so loved and helps me with all the changes
3. We had a great week with teaching. We have Joshua. He set a baptismal for the 25th of June... it is a little rocky. he is nervous. He has two brothers on a mission but his mother is very less active. He is still progressing though and it is fun to see him want to learn and read.
4. We set a baptismal date with Seth too! For the 26th of June. He is REALLY progressing it was awesome. He have been having lessons with him twice a week. Both times he came to church he has worn jeans. But now that he has a baptism date we figured it needs to be brought up... We bring it up and he goes, "Oh, I have clothes. I went out and bought them after church last week." He wore them yesterday and he looked GREAT! It has been AMAZING to watch him transform. I am really excited for him he seems happier.
5. We also have Chris who is the son of a less active man. He is really open to learning and really likes that we ask him to pray about the Book of Mormon and find out for himself if it is true or not.
6. We taught about Tithing and Fasting to a less active mother and daughter. After we taught it the daughter goes, "I want to fast" We went over how and why we do it and she is really excited to do it. She still hasn't come to church BUT she i willing to follow at least this commandment.
7. My companion and I got talking about carpal tunnel... appaerntly you can do this check and see if you have it or are starting to get it... yeah... I have it... Oh man!! Not a good start...
8. My companion has the Saturday's Warrior soundtrack.. LOVE it!! It reminds me of growing up and watching it hahha

Well... I am off BUT I LOVE YOU!!

Transfer 5 Here I Come!

Whoa... 4 Transfers DONE! This is pretty crazy! BUT here was the past weeks happenings with a LOT of lessons...

1. We had a lesson with Sister Goeble about tithing. When we showed her a tithing slip and asked her what it meant to her she said, "The ninety dollars in my wallet" We discussed the blessings of tithing and how she has been missing them in her life. She went and got a tithing envelope as soon as the lesson was over. She wasn't at church yesterday BUT hopefully she will be next week.
2. We went to a less actives home, Brother Briones. He was very welcoming when we knocked even his wife. He told us how he now goes to the Assembly of God church and hasn't been to a "Mormon" church in 30 years. He told us about how him and his son have talks about the Bible but he doesn't go to church. We asked if we could maybe all have a discussion together sometime. He went and got his son and we had a lesson from the Bible and we got to emphasis the Saviors earthly ministry. We even set up another lesson!
3. We had another lesson with Brother Michael Ferrel who likes to go by Seth Tran. We call him Brother Tran but get confused because he refers to himself as Michael. We committed him to baptism and told him it would have to be under his legal name. So we will see what happens at his next lesson. Either way, he is really progressing. He is coming to church, reading and praying more now. It is exciting to see him changing. Finding the joy from the Gospel that I am SO thankful for.
4. Our lesson that we have every other week with Sister Hotinger was great! We followed a tangent that turned out AMAZING about the temple. When I first got her we asked her to talk to Bishop about a temple recommend and at the lesson she brought up going to the Bishop so she could go to the temple and do work for her family. The spirit was so strong and was felt by ALL of us! It was a busy but AWESOME week!
5. We did serve for a member which was well me... cleaning because my companion was hurting BUT it was a nice distresses hahah
6. I got 3 Dodger shirts this week... we helped a investigator clean out her dresser adn i got to inherate a few t-shirts... LVOED it! And Mormon Night at Dodger Stadium is coming up... Maybe our new mission president will let us go.
7. Transfer calls were on Saturday... we got one. I am staying here in Charter Oak but with Sister Eggleston. I am the Senior companion and SUPER scared but it will be great!
8. In my studies this week... 2 Nephi 22:2, 5. God is my salvation. I am SOO happy and lucky to get to share this with everyone and in verse 5 it says, "sing unto the Lord.." I cant sing BUT I LOVE reading the hymns and getting to feel the reality of the words. It was a GREAT week that has really made me grow and think about some things in my life.

LOVE YOU ALL!!
