Hello everyone!! Happy LOVE day!! This past week was pretty full so hopefully it all makes sense when I write it out!!
1. We had a zone conference on Tuesday! it was GREAT!! Honestly it was SOO uplifting and makes you want to work so hard but then it makes you a lil' depressed because I'm not that good yet...
2. Then that night we were driving pass Broadway and Brazil... where the Adult Club is and a SCHOOL BUS was parking right out side! We told one of our Elders and he said, "I wonder what that permission slip looked like?" It was CRAZY!
3. Today we get to go to China Town!! And a street that apparently is like a Little Mexico! Should be fun!!
4. We sadly had the family we were so excited to take on a church tour cancel on us BUT when she cancelled she said that maybe we could stop by and talk about it with her... We shall see.
5. We have one new investigator this week... she is homeless and lives in her car but has some other problems. Anyway, we got to teach her about the Gospel of Christ... it was GREAT!
6. I ate COW TONGUE! In a taco thing... to be honest, it wasn't too bad.
7. We set up a church tour with a lady who the elders gave to us. We went and knocked on her door, invited her and BAM! She said yes! Hopefully now she just shows up.
8. We knocked into a man who LOVES Mormons! He has met with sisters before but stopped. We set up a tour with him so maybe he will take more of interest again. He is already to Alma 2.
9. New favorite quote, mainly because it was a Lil hard week, "Discouragement weakens Faith"
10. We saw a crime show being filmed at this fountain that we jog past every other day! It is about 2 blocks away from our house! We see filming all the time, I LOVE it!
11. 2 dog stories... 1. We went to go see a part member family... we have been there a few times. There is a big fence and then you walk in. So we go in like any other time... and this Beethoven movie dog... it was HUGE comes out growling!! My heart STOPPED!! It was crazy! 2. We are going down a street and we see this mail man about to get attacked by a dog and BAM he sprays him with some sort of something and the dog just keeps going for him! Glad it wasn't us!
12. Sister Ence and I decided we were going to knock this pretty long street so we started knocking with the goal of 10 church tour invites... we got 20! Zero excepted but still invited...
13. We had a GREAT lesson with the Garcia family in our ward. We got to talk about the Book of Mormon and how we can share it with others then played Book of Mormon Mania (thank you Tina and Jodi!) It was really cool to have an awesome lesson and have fun getting to know them.
14. As I have been studying this week in the Book of Mormon I realized ow much of it is missionary work and how we all need to teach! All of us.
15. I hope you all have a FABULOUS Valentine's Day and share your love with those around you!

California 2 Months - Check!
Hello people!! Well well... ready?!
1. We had an AWESOME FHE with the Southerlans. We got to watch some of the videos and he told us how he got to edit some of them! WAY cool!
2. We were listening to a talk the other day in the car by John Bytheway he said, "Repent of suffer" WHOA! Pretty straight forward but its true. LOVE IT!
3. We scheduled TWO church tours this week. With Chris and Amber... Chris didnt show up and we had to reschedule Amber's. We will see what happens.
4. We got a Headquarter referral... Yesinia. She is GREAT! We haven't taught or taken her on a church tour yet BUT she really wants to learn.
5. Cool quote, "When we study for our investigators, we become God's investigators"
6. My companion and I were in the car rapping the new song we just wrote and her arms were going CRAZY. I look at her and she goes, "What? These are my rapping arms." SO FUNNY!
7. We had an AWESOME lesson with Sister Cetina! It was all about the priesthood. We all got to bear testimony about it. The Spirit was so strong. It was GREAT!
8. President Dalton of the YW general presidency came to our building! She spoke to the YW and the singles and the special guest for the YW was.... David Archeleta! (Can't spell-sorry) Apparently the girls went WILD!
9. So my comp and I go to this donut place... apparently a lot because we go in to the place and she goes, "Apple?" What we get EVERY TIME! lol
10. We saw a dead cockroach in thehouse. Sister Ence FREAKS! Says its alive... No it was dead BUT we sprayed it will raid just in case then vacuumed it up :]
11. We are in this parking lot and look over to this liquor store in the window there is an ad... It reads, "Let me drink healthy." A toddler drinking milk... FUNNY!!
12. We have Zone conference tomorrow! I'm excited!! Don't know what to think because I have never been BUT I'm excited!!
13. Carrie- the 81year old... she got dropped. She doesn't want to read and pray about the Book of Mormon.
14. I LOVE the work! I'm really tired but still GREAT!

California Week Six - Check!
Hello my people!!
1. People who wrote letters... I will be writing to you later.
2. This whole week I have been stressing about the transfer calls... my 6 weeks is over so the call is Saturday night.
3. I got to go on an exchange with Sister Maddela! She is from the Philippians and is probably like 4 feet 11 inches. She is working int eh Filipino branch so we knocked and went to teach with Philipianos and I got to sit there as she spoke Tagalog and then I will bear testimony in English VERY slow so they might catch a few words. She is really sweet though and actually leave tomorrow!! SO crazy. It was great though!
4. We also had a GREAT district meeting. It was about extending the baptismal commitment and finding out peoples concerns.
5. We got to go to Pep Boys... again. Oh well it opened it up for time to go to Pita! Pita! AWESOME lunch!!
6. So we have this lil' "All for All" game going on here in our zone. All for All is a saying that we say here to give our all because Christ gave his all. So we got a card that said All for All- You're It from the Elders we share our area with. Then the Armenian elders got in on it then some elders from another area got in... it became the battle of raps... anyway we go out to our car one morning and we see a car that we know is an All for All card... THEN we see it. Spelled out in Posted on the WHOLE side of the car "All 4 All" It was CRAZY! We took pictures and yeah we still don't know what to do back... we are still in shock at how god it was!
7. Sister Salazor opened up to us!! It was the first time she probably talked more than two words to us. But she told us more about their situation which helped Sister Ence and I understand a little more about the home life and why maybe they aren't so committed.
8. We went to a inactive lady a couple days ago... Efnie. We are working on it BUT she told us about her job. She decorates photo shot sets. They tell her the concept and she makes it happen. She just did a set for Kim Kardasain. I was a lil jealous. Cant lie.
9. We had TWO church tours this week! With Ann and Jon (husband and wife) and Maria! IT was GREAT!! Jon is more interested than Ann. Neither came to Church but maybe we can get another appointment. Maria said she was going to come to church but then something came up and she had to go get her son from a city he got stuck in... bad home life situation but she is so willing to listen and so we just can pray she keeps her commitments.
10. Transfer calls!!!! I was sick ALL Saturday. We get the call... they talk to Sister Ence first. he tells her she will continue to serve in the Glendale 2nd Ward as senior companion and that sh will be moving to Belmont. ... I get the phone... Assistant: How are you Sister Arbogast? Me: Good. How are you? Assistant: Good. You ready? Me: Yep. Assistant: You will continue to serve in the Glendale 2nd Ward. YAY!!! I get to stay with the ward!! With Sister Ence but we get to move to an apartment closer to our area.
11.Elder Rust is transferred though... we are all pretty bummed about that... He was our zone leader and one of the elders that we worked with in the same ward... He was a great leader and hilarious! But he gets to go to a Spanish ward in Chino...
12. Carrie cancelled on us this week BUT she set up a time for next week... I will keep you updated.
13. Moving stinks!! Well packing does... I'm excited for a new apartment!
14. I still LOVE the work!! It is SOO true when they say the days are weeks and the weeks are days... Church is TRUE!! I LOVE IT!!

California Week Five - Check!
Well here I am again!! I'm running out of clever openings... Sorry!
1. Today is a letter writing day. Those of you who mailed letters...
you should be getting one sometime this week!
2. We got these new pass along cards that are for mormon.org. We even
get time to go and check the website out and so we can go to members
homes and help them create an account. All of you should check it out!
It is REALLY awesome!! Also, the website, boncom.com it has videos, tv
commercials and whatnot... pretty cool how creative the ads have
gotten and modern. People actually might check the website out now :]
3. We checked out a new part of our area to knock and it was HORSE
TOWN!! It smelled like a ranch and horses were EVERYWHERE!! IT was
kinda cool though..
4. That CD I told you about that time... the trek one. Anyway there is
a song on there that is really good, number 6 haahha it says in part
of it, "For every drop of pain that fell in my name, I'm forever
thankful." SO TRUE! The Atonement is such an amazing gift that we need
to take advantage of.
5. We got to do service for the Stapels! We cleaned their fridge...
it was nasty but it was great that we could help! They took us out to
lunch too so it was worth it :] We talked to Chuck about ever getting
baptize and he still just not into it but we shall see... He added mom
on FB hahaha
6. We got to have an FHE with a Less Active lady Iris and her 10 year
old son Daniel who is not baptized. He is SO great! And wants to come
to church but they have some things going on in the family that they
say are holding them back but we are working on it! We are going to
continue teaching them and hopefully they will make it to church :]
7. We went to the Salazar families for dinner and a lesson... well the
food was NASTY!!! But we were thankful for the meal and we got a
little bit more out of them of what they want from us coming to their
home... we will see how it works out...
8. Meet with the 81 year old Carrie...we might drop her... she don't
have a desire to learn anything but we will see we gave her a chapter
to read so we shall see if she reads and prays about it...
9. We companion got a "Sunburn" kinds of lyons from the store. She
puts them on and looks black hahaha
10. We got to go to a baptism for a man the elders have been teaching
in our area! He is AMAZING!! His name is Ricardo. He has read the book
of Mormon and the gospel principles book and it was so sweet hearing
from him and seeing his family their (not members but his wife is
starting o take the lessons) and so intent on what he was saying and
actually listening. We had 12 missionaries their all with
investigators... OH I JUST LOVE MISSIONARY WORK!!

12. We went to a place to visit a less active man and we saw a
"visitors parking only" sign but it read, "Vistictors Parking Only"
